John Haak

Whether it is on the ground, in the air or on the water, if it attracts a crowd, John Haak will be there to handle ticketing. John is the Director of Motorsports for ExtremeTix (aka) ClicknPrint Tickets. John has assisted the: The Indianapolis Motor speedway NHRA, NASCAR, Barrett-Jackson, Goodguys rod and Custom shows, Oshkosh EAA Airventure, Sun N Fun Fly-In, over 200 festivals as well as hundreds of other events. He is willing to share some of his experiences as you delve into planning, selling and securing your ticket operations.

The ExtremeTix team assists over 1600 events each year and actually attends over 400. John attends well over 30 in any given calendar year and says, “Once you get over the fact that it is a cool event, you really get down to the business basics, sell more tomorrow, then sell more next year. Keep the happy people moving and keep the bad people out.” John sits on the board for ICAS as the Regional Representative and has addressed the national conventions of: International Council of Airshows (ICAS), NHRA National Track Owners, Racing Promoters Monthly (RPM), the Canadian National Rodeo Association (CNRA), The International Festivals and Events (IFEA), and The International Association of Fairs and Expos (IAFE).

Christopher Van Stelle

Air Show Producer

        

 

If there's an aviation event in Southern California, Christopher is typically involved and consults on numerous aviation events each year.

Christopher is currently the Director of the MCAS Miramar Air Show and the Director of the Flying Leatherneck Aviation Museum. He is Vice President of the Southwest Council of Air Shows, a Regional Council of the International Council of Air Shows (ICAS) and was formerly the Executive Director and Air Show Coordinator for Air Show San Diego, and had previously assisted on the: MCAS Miramar Air Show and Hangar 24 Air Fest.

As a Pilot, he's planned and executed numerous aviation events including Commemorative Flyovers for the: Holiday Bowl, San Diego Padres, USS Midway Museum, and Borrego Days Annual Festival, as well as, on-camera performances for a Travel Channel series airing in late 2017. Additionally, Christopher produces FlyDays!, a monthly community outreach event with vintage airplanes, classic cars, live music and great food.

Outside the Aviation industry, Christopher was an Executive in the Financial Services Industry for 20 years and has sat on the Board of several non-profit Organizations.

Ed Downum

Currently residing in New Hampshire, Ed served in the U.S. Marine Corps for 27 years where he flew the A6-E Intruder as a Naval Flight Officer (NFO).

After getting his first exposure as air show coordinator for MCAS El Toro in 1992, he continued until 1997 (for the 1993-1997 air shows) when he became the air show coordinator for MCAS Miramar. From 1998-2015, the MCAS Miramar Air Show grew into one of the largest in North America under Ed's leadership. In addition to his responsibilities as the air show coordinator, he was the Director of the Flying Leatherneck Aviation Museum at MCAS Miramar since retiring as a LtCol from the USMC on 01 Sept 2000.

Ed recently retired from his Civil Service job on April 30, 2016, after 43 years of dedicated government service. He is now pursuing a new future in flipping real estate and enjoying life with his son, daughter, her husband, and their three grandsons. He has been a SWCAS (formerly SWAN) member since it was chartered in 1993, and board member from 1996-present.

Anthony Oshinuga

Anthony Oshinuga, a college graduate from the University of California Riverside is a dedicated Aviator, Athlete, Engineer, and Entrepreneur who resides in Southern California. Anthony owns a flight touring business called AirOshi, an aerial scenic wine touring business that provides clients with tours in sunny Southern California. When he is not working, he dedicates all of his energy to aerobatic competition & Air Show flying. His goal is to compete at the highest level and someday become a Red Bull Air Race pilot.

He is a relative newcomer to the sport of aerobatics and it’s exciting to see the progress he has made in such a short time. His disciplined work ethic and raw talent have helped him to improve by leaps and bounds over the last year and will continue propel him in the years to come. In 2014, he placed 4th at the US National Aerobatic Competition out of 10 in his category. In 2015 & 2016 he raced at the National Championship Air Races located in Reno Nevada and placed 2nd two consecutive times.

Now as Anthony ramps up for the 2017 season he would like to remind all those out there that anything is possible if you put your mind to it no matter how big the goal!

Gale Rawitzer

Gale Rawitzer is a member of both ICAS and the (EAC) European Airshow Council and has been passionate about the air show industry since 1981. For 32 years he has been involved with the California International Air Show in Salinas providing his expertise from Ground & Air Operations, President, Board of Director, and Professional Air Boss. In 1997 he met and later married Kathy Eby, Project Specialist & International Trainer, who also fell in love with Gale’s air show family. Now they both participate in the industry, and since have visited over 150 air shows around the world to learn ‘best practices’ on organization and air show safety.

For the last 16 years Gale has provided Professional Air Boss Services for large, medium, and small air shows around North America. Gale and Kathy’s passion and work in the air show industry, has evolved into their company...Air Boss Advantage.
